PT Tri Panji Puring Completes FEED for the Ande-Ande Lumut Field
Published 29 September 2026 · PT Tri Panji Puring
PT Tri Panji Puring has completed the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for the Ande-Ande Lumut (AAL) field, operated by Prima Energy within the Northwest Natuna Production Sharing Contract (PSC).
The project called for an integrated field development concept in approximately 73 metres of water, at a greenfield location with no existing upstream infrastructure nearby. Production, storage and power supply therefore had to be considered together from the outset.

Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)
An integrated field development concept
The reservoir's heavy, viscous crude requires Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) support from the start of production. This requirement connects the design of the production facilities with the field's storage and power arrangements. PT Tri Panji Puring's Phase 1 concept brings these systems together through three connected facilities.
Central Production Platform
A fixed, piled Central Production Platform (CPP) supports production from the initial seven horizontal wells. The concept includes the process facilities required to handle heavy oil from first production.
FSO interconnection
The CPP is connected to a Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) unit. A bridge-linked arrangement and a suspended catenary flexible production line were evaluated as options for transferring crude to the FSO's storage tanks.
Subsea power system
Electricity generated aboard the FSO is delivered to the CPP through a catenary subsea power cable. This arrangement supports the ESP-driven wells from the beginning of field production.
Engineering for undeveloped offshore sites
Ande-Ande Lumut combines heavy crude characteristics with the challenges of a site that has no existing infrastructure. Bringing production facilities, subsea power delivery and floating storage interconnection into one development concept requires coordination across engineering disciplines.
The FEED assignment reflects PT Tri Panji Puring's approach to offshore and subsea engineering: developing connected systems around the operating requirements of the field.
