Helideck Inspection

Our Services

Helideck Inspection

We provide and inspection consultancy services for heliport operations, including the drafting, formatting, and production of the Heliport Manual in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA/DJPU), Ministry of Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia.

Enabling Safe Access to Critical Operations

As offshore platforms and energy facilities move further from the mainland, helicopter transportation plays an increasingly important role in connecting people with critical operations.

A helideck, however, is more than a designated landing area. It is a safety-critical aviation facility that must be properly designed, inspected, maintained, and operated in accordance with rigorous regulatory and technical requirements.

PT Tri Panji Puring is an Indonesian-certified company authorized to perform professional helideck inspections. We support operators in demonstrating that their helicopter landing facilities are safe, compliant, and ready for operation.

A Complete Approach to Helideck Safety

Our inspection process extends beyond a visual examination. We assess the entire helideck safety environment, including:

  • Landing-area dimensions, markings, drainage, and structural condition;
  • Surface coating condition and friction performance;
  • Perimeter safety nets and drop-test performance;
  • Perimeter lights, floodlights, windsocks, and obstruction lighting;
  • Rescue and firefighting systems;
  • Foam quality, discharge capacity, and secondary extinguishing media;
  • Obstacles, turbulence, exhaust emissions, and hot-gas effects;
  • Fueling installations and operating controls;
  • Emergency procedures and personnel competency; and
  • Maintenance, training, and compliance records.

Surface friction testing is performed by competent personnel using appropriate equipment and is assessed against the applicable requirements of CAP 437 and the relevant Indonesian aviation standards.

Compliance with Indonesian and International Standards

PT Tri Panji Puring performs helideck inspections in accordance with the applicable requirements of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of Indonesia, particularly KP 215 of 2019 and PM 95 of 2021 concerning CASR Part 139.

Depending on the facility, location, and operating requirements, our assessments may also reference ICAO Annex 14 Volume II, ICAO Doc 9261, CAP 437, approved operator procedures, and client-specific aviation and HSSE standards.

Our annual safety inspection services typically include:

  1. Planning and document assessment;
  2. Physical inspection of the helideck and associated systems;
  3. Surface friction and safety-equipment testing;
  4. Operational and environmental assessment;
  5. Preparation of findings and corrective-action recommendations;
  6. Issuance of a comprehensive technical inspection report; and
  7. Technical assistance during the authority review and certification process.

Where required, we accompany our clients through the resolution of inspection findings until the relevant Certificate of Inspection or official authority documentation has been issued.
