PT Tri Panji Puring Completes FEED for the Hidayah Field Development
Published 29 September 2026 · PT Tri Panji Puring
PT Tri Panji Puring has completed Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) work for the Hidayah Field Development Project in the North Madura II PSC, East Java, through collaboration with PT Technip Engineering Indonesia for project owner Petronas Carigali (PC North Madura II Ltd.).
The assignment brings together offshore engineering disciplines, safety assessments and installation planning within an integrated field development design.
Project Overview
Project
Hidayah Field Development
Working area
North Madura II PSC, East Java

Scope delivered
Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)
Facilities
Central Processing Platform (CPP) and Wellhead Platform (WHP)
Integrated multidisciplinary engineering
The FEED assignment coordinated eight core engineering areas. Their combined scope connects the production process with structural integrity, marine installation and operational requirements.
- Flow assurance — Simulation of multiphase fluid flow from subsea wells to identify flow-related constraints at the design stage.
- Structural engineering — Strength, transportation, installation and seismic resilience analysis for offshore structures.
- Piping and pipeline design — Subsea pipeline routing and topside piping layouts developed using 3D PDMS modelling.
- Mechanical and process safety — Specification of static and rotating equipment, together with formal HAZID and HAZOP safety studies.
- Electrical, instrument and telecommunications — Platform power distribution, DCS/ESD control systems and offshore telecommunications networks.
- Materials and corrosion — Cathodic protection design and materials selection to support asset integrity throughout the platform lifecycle.
- Naval architecture — Transport barge stability, mooring systems and marine engineering for the installation phase.
- Hookup, commissioning and operations — Offshore hookup strategies and operating guidelines for platform startup.
Structural design at FEED stage
The integrated CPP and WHP system was engineered to an estimated total dry weight of 8,845 metric tons at FEED stage. This comprises 4,917 metric tons of topside and 3,928 metric tons of substructure, including jacket and piles.
The FEED estimate develops the earlier Pre-FEED baseline of 5,900.3 metric tons. The figures reflect the development of the engineering design between these stages.
Coordinating interfaces across the development
Hidayah requires engineering decisions to be coordinated across process facilities, structures, subsea systems, marine operations and startup planning. Collaboration across these interfaces supports a consistent basis for subsequent project phases.
The assignment reflects PT Tri Panji Puring's offshore and subsea engineering capabilities and its experience working with PT Technip Engineering Indonesia on a development for Petronas Carigali.
